about
Third Kind: Space Jam
It started as a solo multi-instrumental project by Jake Weekes, Onement9, with his album The Third Kind, a musical narrative about how a dancing ritual somehow summoned a matriarchal apocalypse wrought by a giant mothership from another planet. It has now evolved into a new space rock band, with Jake on lead guitar and loops, Gram on Bass, Lee on drums and Paul on spacey sound generation! That’s why this live recording of a performance from only our second get together is called “Third Kind: Space Jam”; it’s based on the loops, flutes and keyboard of the title track of Jake’s album, and it’s, well… a space rock jam!
Enjoy: this is only the beginning.
